Behavioral Support Services

What is it:

This service is not traditional talk therapy. This is a unique behavioral support service that gives you behavior management education and strategies tailored to the needs of your family. 

This service is designed to empower you as a parent/caregiver to address your child's challenging behavior effectively through implementation of strategies based on science and on your child's developmental needs. 

Who is it for:

You may be a caregiver who feels that you are in a constant battle with your child and traditional consequences aren’t working. Or perhaps you have a child who struggles to follow rules, engage in daily tasks, or socialize appropriately. Maybe you have tried traditional talk therapy for your child and it feels like there is a missing piece. If any of these statements feel familiar, this service may be right for you. This service is designed to empower your family to directly address the behavioral needs of your child and increase your confidence in doing so.

Why is it helpful: 

Often times, when you, as a parent, see your child struggling with behavioral issues, you might try talk therapy or another service that provides direct care to your child. While direct service for your child provided by a trained professional is an effective tool, it is usually only 1-2 hours per week. As the caregiver, you are with your child the remaining 166 hours of the week! When it comes to behavioral issues, the real need for support is in the day to day interactions within your home. With behavioral support services, you will work directly with a behavior expert to help you understand the "why" behind your child's behavior and help you develop both proactive and reactive techniques needed to address challenging situations. This allows you, as the caregiver, to play the most important and effective role in supporting your family's needs.
